Race 5: Yee-Haw It's Lemons 2011

With some fresh paint on 84, our 5th race, and 5th race at MSR started out nicely.

 Part of the starting grid.
Our two E30s chasing another E30.
84 ran well until about 30 minutes before the end of the race when our fuel pump went out. 89 ended up with driveshaft issues, which were repaired. We added to our engine failure streak in 89 when we wore out a rod bearing Saturday.

Race 4 Day 2

Our 4th race included our first finish. Car 84 finished after a lengthy shifter linkage repair where we cut into the tunnel and welded whatever metal we could to connect the dots again. Car 89 did not fare so well. Add another broken timing belt to our list of accomplishments.

 Our first finish!

24 Hours of LeMons Gator-O-Rama 2011

Our 4th race, and 4th race at MSR started out with plenty of food.

Both cars ready for more carnage. Note fresh port side OEM suspension thanks to our donor car.
A rare shot of both cars in action.
End of day 1 with both cars still running.
Both cars ready for day 2.

Yee-Haw It's Lemons 2010 Day 2

After getting the 89 back on the track, our day ended with a lower end with a 3 inch hole in it.

Yee-haw It's Lemons 2010

Our first race with two cars. Devastating results for both cars. We advise not going 3 wide out of the carousel (turn 15).
The entire suspension on the left side of the car will have to be replaced.

Lost our shifter linkage

We ran nearly all weekend in 84 and only hit 1 other car. With about 30 minutes left in the race, our shifter linkage broke and we were stuck in 4th and needed some assistance.

The Black Flag

This is what happens when you get black flagged for driving in the grass. I will attest to Micah being only guilty by association.

Race Carnage

This car was selected for destruction :)
This one actually kept racing once it was towed out of the gravel
This one did not continue racing.

Overheating on car #04

Time to address the overheating issue mid-race. Synopsis - not gonna get back out there this race.
